There's a new trend for bridal bouquets for 2013, and the great news is they're super-easy to DIY! If you're not careful flowers can take a big chunk out of your wedding budget, particularly if you're planning to give your bridesmaids a bunch each.
One way to avoid this is to choose a single bloom for their bouquets, leaving more bang in your budget for your arrangement. But rather than pick a hand-tied bouquet, where every flower is carefully placed next to a different variety, 2013 is all about bunching blooms together {see the four pictures below}. Don't they look gorgeous, and seriously easy to DIY via this tutorial on wedding blog 100 Layer Cake.
Of course, you might prefer to go with 2012's big bridal bouquet trend, which still looks super-fresh this year, particularly for summer weddings. It's a more natural look with blooms pulled together in wild profusion. I'm particularly loving the bouquet on the left - how about you? More amazing bridal bouquet inspiration on my Pinterest board.

The best weddings are UNIQUE … and leave the guests talking about the wedding for years afterwards!
A quality entertainer will ASK a bride & groom about ways to create the unique and unusual aspects of a wedding – asking questions helps to create special memories!
Based on discussions with brides & grooms, Tucson, AZ interactive DJ Scott Faver (“The Party Favers”) created this incredible list of unique bouquet toss suggestions ….
1) DESIGNATED BOUQUET
* To a single person the bride selects in advance.
* To the wife of the longest-married couple.
* To the Mom with the youngest / oldest child
* To the Mother of the bride or groom (complete with a story of WHY the Mom received the bouquet.
2) ANNIVERSARY DANCE
Starting with the Bride & Groom, the MC invites married couples to the dance floor in increments of years married …. 1-5 … then 6-10 … then 11-20 … continuing until the longest-married couple finally comes to the dance floor and the lady receives the bride’s bouquet. This also creates a GREAT photo of the shortest-married and the longest-married couples at the wedding (usually grandparents of the bride or groom).
3) HONEYMOON “DOLLAR DANCE”
The bouquet can go to the girl who dances with the Groom for the most money (one time dance), or the girl who dances with the Groom the largest number of times (amount of money not a factor). The skilled MC / DJ will set up the Honeymoon Dollar Dance to entice girls to contribute, since the prize is the bouquet!
4) TOSSING OTHER ITEMS
* If there are a lot of kids involved, do a separate toss for kids – tossing a Teddy Bear or a Bridal Build-a-Bear.
* Brides have tossed footballs from their alma mater or favorite pro team, or even soft baseballs or Nerf balls from their favorite baseball, hockey or basketball team (works for both adults and kids).
* Want to get the party started?? Make a last-second substitution of a giant bunch of glow necklaces or bracelets, and create the fun energy needed to transition into a celebration on the dance floor!
5) REVERSE TOSS
If you’re non-traditional, and don’t plan for a large number of single females at the reception, why not REVERSE the process and have 20 small bouquets created so the married friends can toss the flowers to YOU, and assembled into a keepsake bouquet. Your Master of Ceremonies & DJ can help “turn the tables” and get ALL of the married ladies involved. This will create GREAT photos of flowers falling all around you on the dance floor!  Your MC and photographer can work together to create a memorable “Kodak Moment!”
BOTTOM-LINE … talk to your “Celebrationist” and your photographer to brainstorm on unique ideas to make your wedding magical – that’s why he’s your personal expert!
