I believe that weddings are all about the details. From hand-written place cards to centerpieces, when wedding planning I wanted to sprinkle in details and small touches that meant something to Neal and I.
With the mind frame of details with symbolic meanings, I started brainstorming about how I wanted to honor my grandparents (who have passed away) while nodding to our story together. I was chatting about this detail dilemma to my co-worker Karen, and she offered to make me a custom handmade photo charm for my wedding bouquet as a gift. This was such a wonderful offer, and a perfect solution. I gave her two black and white photos, of both my set of grandparents on their wedding day.
Here is how the final charm turned out:
Left to Right: American & Welsh flags(to represent our different countries), a blue ring of my great-grandmother’s, I Heart NY (since that is where we met) and a little Gonzaga love (since that is where we had the wedding).
