Making A Bridal Bouquet Biography

Like most brides, this is your first time planning a wedding. As a little girl, you dreamed of putting on a wedding dress and kissing your groom. You thought about the pretty bouquet of flowers you would hold and the music you would dance to. You were creating your dream wedding in your imagination.
That dream has finally come to life! You’re booking venues and vendors months in advance. The wedding dress has been purchased, along with those fancy high heels. But there are so many details to think about that you weren’t prepared for. And to add to it, Pinterest is both extremely helpful and overwhelming as you realize just how many different style options you have.
I asked several past brides what they loved most about their wedding and what they would tell a bride today,
here’s what they had to say!

“Make it personal. Weave you and your husband-to-be’s personalities throughout the ceremony and reception. Example: Josh and I aren’t that fond of wedding cake, but we wanted to feed each other the traditional bite of cake, so we got a small bakery cake to do that… But for the main dessert we served individual ice cream cups with a personalized logo on the lid that we made printed out. Get a videographer! I sooooo wish we would have done that to have a highlight video of our wedding – that’s my only regret. My favorite wedding detail is mason jars, so cheap if you get them at the thrift store and so versatile! There are a million ways you can decorate those little glass jars, or just leave them plain and put candles inside. The possibilities are endless!” –

“My friend made people hula hoop to get the bride and groom to kiss. The longer you could hula the longer they had to kiss! Far better than clinking your glass!” – Katie Neu

“Location can be key! It will make or break how much effort needs to go into the wedding. I had a candy table and it was a huge hit! Remember to just relax and enjoy your special day! It is too short to be stressing over all the little details the day of.” –
“Put YOU in the wedding! What is it that is special to you and your fiance? Inject those in the wedding! Could be in terms of theme, decor, something actually at the wedding itself, etc… For example, instead of table numbers, friends of mine put milestones from their relationship, listing just a catchy “title” on the place cards. That got all the guests curious…At the table, they could flip the “table number” card over and read the story of a funny or sweet anecdote from the couple’s relationship. It was a fun way for guests to get to know the couple a bit better (since not everyone knew the long distance story) and I thought a very creative twist on “table numbers”. Also, the couple are avid runners…so the “table number” cards…were in the form of a sneaker…it was adorable!”The tossing of the bouquet is an important and fun wedding tradition, especially for all the single women at a wedding. However, compared to some fights over the bouquet I’ve witnessed, that scene can be considered quite tame. Besides the superstitious belief that the lady who catches the bouquet will be the next to wed, have you ever wondered why catching the bouquet is such a big deal, or why the bride even bothers to throw it in the first place? Whether you believe this or not, it is a great way of entertaining guests and the girl who catches the bouquet will also have a souvenir of the wedding to take home.
Apparently, in medieval Europe, (around the 14th century) a bride’s dress was considered good luck for other women and a type of fertility charm. The wedding dress was considered such good luck that single women chased the bride and actually ripped off pieces of her dress to bring them good luck (aka a husband). To prevent guests from ripping the wedding dress, brides began throwing other objects as a distraction, with the bouquet becoming the most traditionally thrown object.
